Applicability of shops & establishment act

A lady wants to start a sole propritoryship travel & tours company from her laptop/ residence in Maharashtra whose turnover is not expected to exceed Rs 9 lakhs . Can she get a license under Shops & Establishment Act.? Or some other better option is there which is quick & least expensive.

See, the problem is that for opening a current account in the the name of the proposed concern, some KYC's are being sought by the local banks as per RBI norms & license under Shops & Establishment Act  can be utilised for the purpose.

In a nutshell, the lady is looking for a quick & least expensive option to satisfy the RBI KYC for opening a current account in the the name of the proposed concern without the element of forced bribing which is so rampant everywhere.

dear mr hasan,

It is mandatory for the lady to take shops and commercial establishments licence.  It does not require much effort.  She can make an application in the dy labour commissioners office wherein the shop act deptt is located. She needs to fill in the form and pay the requisite fees and can get the licence after submitting requisite documents.  It has been a mindiset of everyone that there is rampant corruption which is a hue and cry, nobody goes without a predetermined mind and make any straight effort to get things done.  suppose she faces any issue, she can always approach the higher authorities like dy comm and get the work moving.
