Bounce chqeue

Dear Sir,

i was in gujarat . i came to chennai on 27/january 2014. i have issued a chqeue to my customer now chqeue has been bounce. which shqeue i have given is gujarat bank chqeue. wht can they do & they can come here to arrest me.

1. cheque is for Rs:240000/-

2. chqeue is blank

Yes they may come to arrest you. But it will take long time. Your customer can even file civil case for recovery of amounts.

Dear Querist they can come to arrest you but after issue the warrant by court otherwise not. try to settle the matter amicably when you received the notice from him. read section 138 of N.I.ACt
