compeling person to present in court

A complainant wrote in her statement that cetain letter of allegation written by her father; and her brother etc accompied her in the hospital for treatment of alleged physical assault.  All these are fabricated and accused want to compel her father and brother to come before the court for examination and cross-exam. Can accused compel the  father and the brother to come before court even when prosecution has not listed them as witness? Please give respective case law or provision in summons case.
