I have taken a house on lease for 11 months for commercial purpose. Just after 12 days the electricity department people came to our house. I gave the necessary information that it was taken a few days ago and they checked every room and were satisfied as the electrical fans and lights were not fixed yet by that time.Even though, they asked me to sign on the form for using the house for 10 days in the commercial category. They said that the penalty would be around 2500/- and so I signed.Later I vacated the house and after 2 months they sent a notice to the owner for 20000/- until july 31,2011and also informed him that they would disconnect the power if the amount is not paid .I didn't understand why? Could anyone help me out with the procedure as to how I can proceed.Please respond ASAP.
