is daughter laible for debt of father?

Dear Learned Lawyers,

According to Property law or succession act, Daughter have right in fathers property even after marriage. Now my question is:

is she(daughter/girl) also liable for the debt of the father?

You have asked the same question under the thread, "daughter rights" and I have answered as follows;

Yes. Daughter is equally liable to discharge the loan obtained by her father, provided if she inherits any property from her father. If she has not inherited any property from her deceased father, then she is not liable. Further if any sibling is there, then each is liable to the proportion of inheritance.

//Daughter have right in fathers property even after marriage.//

Even after marraige, daughter remain daughter to her father and does not lose her capacity. Right.

I think you have asked the question on the basis of "principle of pious obligation". That are gone.

All legal heirs are equally liable for their father's debt.
