Jeevanamsam - claim in null and void

Page no : 2

Kumar Doab (FIN)     02 February 2018

As per your post the divorce has been granted last year.

Last year 2017 was about 33days back also, as last year ended on 31-12-2017.

What is he hurry to remarry?

One has to wait till the period of appeals has expired.

The marriage is annulled or divorce has been granted?

What is the opinion of your own counsel that has represented you in court on remarriage and maintenance or alimony on grounds on which divorce was granted by court and also circumstances under which wedlock was ended?

You have also not clarified the demand is verbal or in court of law?

If it is agitated in court of law then shelter under which provision of which Act is taken?

The wealthy background of Ex.spouse is by self-earned/acquired estate income of Ex.spouse or family estate?

Your own counsel can that is well versed with the facts of the matter can advise you the best.

Consider the fact that your counsel was successful as per your own query.

If your counsel is not attending you in details to your personal levels of satisfaction then it could be due to reason that the case is over (with divorce) and you need to treat fresh matter as fresh case for new fee.

You should check from this perspective also!

Isn’t it?
