Legal Action against Abusive Mother

India is well known for considering a mother as goddess but some women are taking advantages of it

Is there any law against Mother who abuses his teen child and took all her frustration  on him. she threaten his son who is in early 20's to abandoned him from house and lodge a complain against him at local police station. The guy has no father and no other relatives to support him. and he sufferes from mental torture everyday. so a little advice would really help him.

Thanks you

It's an unusual problem the son is facing. First you may find out what is the real intention of the coarse behaviour of his mother. Whether she wants to abandon him and re-marry or for any other reason like her mental disorder or any other health ground. If so, better a psychiatrist may be consulted and get an opinion from him. The medical opinion obtained from him would help the son to seek the appropriate legal remedy with the aid of law enforcement agencies and the Court of law. The law enforcement agencies or the Court would warn his mother and if necessary give the son some sort of legal protection.

Son is a major by age. He can live as he likes. If he is a minor a complaint can be lodged with police for mental harrassment and case in the court for maintanence.

it is unusual. perhaps the boy who's age is 20 years, do not do any work, i mean to say jobless.  as a neighbour you might be feeling disturbed.

actually, for legal action you do not have any lucas standi. go 3/4/5 gentelman of her neighbouring area, convince her that such type of treatment is bad not only for her son, but also for other boys and it is polluting the social atmosphear.

Dear Ravi,

As it is evident from the post under reply knowing the cause and getting the same remedied is the catch word.  Always look for the positivity with long term apporoach and goals whatever might be the circumstances.

Best regards

Daksh
