Maharashtra land revenue act

DEAR SIR/MADAM,

                             I AM HOLDING ANCESTRAL LAND IN MUMBAI SUBURB. AREA ABOUT 700SQ YARDS. WITH COMMERCIAL SHOPS ON GROUND FLOOR AND RESIDETIAL ABOVE.FOR WHICH I AM PAYING N.A. TAX ANNUALLY .SUDDENLY 4 DAYS BAACK WHEN I WENT TO PAY THE  N.A. TAX. CLEARK SAID YOUR RECORD SHOWS RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE BUT WE FOUND THERE ARE SHOPS ON GROUND FLOOR SO YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY ADDITIONAL COMMERCIAL RATE PLUS 10 TIMES PENALTY.IS IT TRUE AS PER MAHARASHTRA LAND  REVENUE CODE OF 1966?.AND HOW COME TAHASILDAR ASK SUDDENLY 40YEARS BACKLOG PERIOD PENDING DUES UNDER THE COMMERCIAL RATE.

WHY GOVT. DID NEVER ASK BEFORE? I SEEK ADVICE FROM YOU.NON AGRI. TAX IS N.A. TAX DOES IT HAVE CATEGORY OF RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL.
