Marrage Registration

Hi,

I got married in 2004 at that time i have not registred my marriage how to register now.

Please explain the procedures.

Its very simple, You will have to prepare a file for regn. Which includes some proformas, two photo of marriage, Marriage invitation card, two witnesses one from both side of  spouse and then you will have to go the local office of the Marriage Registrar, in whose jurisdiction the mariage was solemnised, They will register it.

Or you should contact a local lawyer for all formalities.

Including residence proof of both the parties and witnesess, and age proof of the bride and bride groom.

 Remember the place where marriage was solemnized. If you are in Delhi and got married at Chennai, go there! Well that is law.

Well explain, you can register it through the local lawyer where the marriage solmnize.
