Pay Commision Recommendation

The pay commission has recommendated hefty rise in the salary of government employees, which imposes a heavy burden on the exchequer- and consequently on the people of india. Should people of india pay this much for an inefficient government? Should there be efficiency bar to receive government salary? Should government salry depends upon good governance?

government will never be inefficent ,if your self and myself are efficent while electing the persons to it.if we pay more to servent it will be deemed that we are wealthy. what ever we pay it will come to market an acountable money propeling demand for consumables and goods which we produce for getting profit. so don't warry brothers .produce and good business and earn more .ok

I am saying exactly what you are saying- it appears that you are also of the opinion that government servant never earn their salary- it is a transfer income from the people of india to show that the master (people of india) is wealthy!

In spite of the increase in salary, it is going to be very tough job to hire good talent for government jobs.Gone are the days when there was a charm in going for Govt. Jobs.Nowadays, the talent pool of the country do not prefer to join Government jobs. Then, how do u expect great efficiency from these people?

Does the job of governance requires efficiency? Most os the job of governance requires plain clerical skill- the problem is that government servant doesn't do that even. What is required is not incentive of money- it is required to implement cane of accountability.
