Pf intrest court case maharshtra

Dear Sir ,

My father was working IN MSEB . His PF is getting delayed .

where i can file the case against the goverment office for getting intrest on PF amount .

as one lawer told me that such cases can not be filed in regular court .it is special tribunal at NAGPUR ( 800 KM away from my home town .)

OR ican file Petition in from OF H.C. but it will only direct MSEB to settle the issue .

So Sir

please advice me where i can file the case ?also advise whether any rule is there for getting intrest on PF amount till settelment day .

The establishment is probably having its own PF trust and PF rules.

The interest is accrued till last day/day of settlement until or unless the a/c becomes inoperative.

Download the PF rules and you will find your answers.

PF matters are decided by Consumer Fora also.It can be the easiest and cost efective remedy.

The Employee Provident Fund Organisation has a grievance redressal mechanism in place and it is covered under the Consumer Protection Act.

All complaints regarding Employee Provident Funds should be first taken to the local EPF Commissioners.
Appeal can be made to the Provident Fund Department if the consumer is not satisfied with the decision of the Commissioners.
The orders of the Department can be appealed at the Employee Provident Fund Appellate Tribunal That is located at Delhi.
