Property act

Hello Sir/madam,i have one doubt pls clarify,My mother receive a share from ancestral property from her father (Important note: share receive from her father only),now my mom have four legal heirs(3 son+1 daughter)..my father died.....in this case mother not willing to give the share to all legal heirs she willing to gift the property to one son only.......i asked my mother, she said this property not comes under your father side,so that she is only independent owner of the above property and also she has a right for inheritance the future owner without our concern...Is this right?... she said ancestral or coparcenary comes under patrenal side not maternal side mean my father, father's father, father's father's father...My doubt is its right or wrong...Whats a meaning for ancestral and coparcenery or co-owners...Pls reply

Important request:If any AIR is there please update me I am a Law student and and also i am making a Project in this issue...Pls update any AIR for commencement for copoarcenary

Your mother is correct, it is her absolute property and not your ancestral property so that you can have any share in it. Therefore, she has the right to dispose it off in any manner she likes.
