Re-Registration

Hi,

My Cousin paid part amount to the builder (under construction building) and also registered and paid stamp duty.

Now he does not want the same and is willing to transfer the property on my name with the same rate of agreement.

Is there any procedure to transfer registration ?

Can builder increase the rate of the property in the new Agreement ?

Usually  there is condition that document may be done in the name of purchaser or in lthe name he directs, I think that you may take the irrecovable lpower of attorney from your cousin and can proceed. Your cousin can ask the builder to transfer his money in your name and another agreement can be done in your name and cancel the previous kone.

The builders will prefer to reserve their rights till all the dues are paid before transferring the property.The terms of agreement could be verified to this effect with the builder.
