already i have releaved from the company total woking is 4 years 9 months only. now iam elgible for gratuity amoung as per the govt rules.

please suggest.

Count from DOJ to LWD.

Apparently you would be working for 4Y9M.

If th establishment works for 6days/week or < 6days/week, then the employee should have worked for 240/190days in 5th year.

You should be eligible.

oganisation wroking days by weekly saturday off and offcourse sundays.

                 To be eligible for gratuity, you must complete 5 years continuous service. 6 months of a year can be counted as one year. If you have completed 4 years and 7 months in service, you will get the gratuity.If you appreciate this answeer please click the thank you buttonon this forum.

For the purpose of payment of gratuity:::::6M1D=1Y,  6M=0Y, after 5 calender years.
