Yes you can apply for departmental post/vacancy/promotion on basis of your B Com degree

Kumarji, as far as my knowledge goes, a government servant cannot pursue education without informing thier department. He has to take prior permission before doing so. Please check it out.

dear sir, thanks for your response,

at the time of  joining, i have submitted the Marks sheet  for part I passed, and in  my service book, i was termed as B. com pursuing,.

but it may be a mistake by authority.  however at every exam , that is  for part II & part III, i  vaailed leave mentioning that i am going to appear such exams. photo copy of that letters is with me..

now, can i apply.........

thanks..

Dear Amarjit,

There is a confusion in your question. If you have done a regular course, the question arises, how you could do a full time course by attending college/university and also attended your office duties at the same time? Naturally, you would have absented from your duties to do a regular course, and another question arises, how your superiors ignored your such a long absence from the office?

If you have attended a college or university regularly on daily basis to complete your B.Com Course, only then it can be treated as a regular course. But, if you have done it through a corespondence course through distance education system that cannot be treated as a regular course. If you have availed leave for taking exam for the correspondence course that is another thing. So, before your query is replied properly, you need to clarify your own position first.
