Removal of directors of a public limited company

Can a Director of a Public Limited Company, with more than 50% voting power (which he got through proxies from shareholders), call for an Extra-ordinary General Meeting to remove the majority of Executive Directors, along with the Director who wants to remove them, and who have provided collateral securities to Consortium Member Banks to avail financial assistance of more than Rs.100 Crores.
