Tm and llp

Dear all,

Can a Trademark be registered in the name of an LLP in India?

And what if it has to be registered in the name of the Partners of the LLP? Can it be done?

The recent Public Notice issued by the CGPDTM discusses specifically about the name of the applicants in cases of a Partnership firm but not about LLP.

Vibanath,

It is a very good observation, LLP is a type of Partnership company which is a legal entity registered under the Companies Act. It should be considered as a body incorporate.
