will

i would like to know abt ceratain point abt wills. one of my frds grand fatehr written will for his grandson . and he passed. during the preperation of will his grand son is by age of 11. now he is 37 those will not been registerd and now the grand son need to change the property to his name. his father told that just register with jurdication of corporation. if do then what is the formality of that. bcz of it is not registered will.

Sir, Registration is not mandatory for will. Tell your friend to submit the attesteed copies of the will along with an application seeking mutation of name in the municipal records, to the concerned municipal authorities.
