498a Quahing: FIR, FR, Revision and Jurisdiction

Hi,

Me and my ex reside in UK. We did love marrige in UK and then did ceremonies in India in front of our parents. Later on when thinsg turned sour I filed for divorce and my ex conterfiled all in UK.

But then they filed 498a in India.

The police dismissed  the charges but they filed a protest petition and set aside the FR.

They are claiming jurisdiction on the basis of testomonies that my parents approached for dowry in India, after the divorce has been filed by both parties in UK!

Another piece is that they want to bring a prior UK domestic violence case between me and my wife and prosecute me in India for that. In that proceeding the case was dismissed by the UK court as the girl did not persue the case.

Till date me and my ex continue to live in UK with my parents back in India.

Can I go for quash? Does India court even have jurisdiction? Is this even covered under Hindu marriage act? How can India govt prosecute me for accusation of acts in UK that were disposed by UK courts with full knowledge of the girl.

thanks
