I had bought a mother board in January from Gigabyte . In September motherboard malfunctioned and caused crash of my hard disk and I lost all my data .
I gave that motherboard to the collection center and collection center said it will be sent to kolkatta for repair they will contact you . I kept in touch with collection center regarding the motherboard and also conveyed to them that I have not received any call from service center.
When I go the motherboard back , I came to realize that they have sent the motherboard without repairing it and this motherboard caused another harddisk malfunction. When i contacted the person listed on company's website he said someone will contact me .
The person contacted me and choose not to take the responsibility of the proper service and said send the motherboard they will repair it, they said it might happened because of durga puja.
he showed no concern that they have sent a non repaired motherboard and kept on arguing that it's not their fault such problem can happen. Upon request to give temporary board he ignored the request and kept on saying it's not their fault .
he ignored the request and where acting indecent , he had foul mouth and literally said that "You bought olnly one motherboard, there are many who buy many motherboard and they do not bark like this" They showed no respect to a girl and are saying that I am barking. He also failed to realise that I am end user not a company, a person having 10 mtherboard can compromise but one with one motherbard cannot .
When this thing reached higher authority and when they came to know that i have been recording the call,they said they will provide the refund when I asked about proper service and strict action against that employee .
They insisted to take the refund and sign an undertaking stating that I will be responsible if bought their product. All I wanted was proper service,I asked for functioning motherboard and stated that I was ready to pay if they do not have same motherboard in stock for more expensive on .
I refused to sign any undertaking and asked to give in writing , they called and eventually gave the money . While giving the money they warned and prohibited me from buying their product and upon my refusal they stated that do not expect service from them if I bought their product
. I also mailed them the audio clip and how abusive their employee were and sought disciplinary action against that employee. The concerned employee said that they will do what they deem fit , taking acting against that employee is their concern and they are their sole discretion what to do and what not to do with their employee.
The company is monopolizing their position in the local market , as no other branded company is selling the motherboard. Their non repaired motherboard corrupted my harddisk; Because of this I am facing losses and not able to repair the pc and continue my studies . Now under these circumstances what can be done ?
