Ambala Cantt, Birth certificate at 38 years of age

My father was posted in Amabala Cantt when i was born. My birth date is November 1978, even though i was born in hospital my birth was never registered. I never jad a birth certificate. My passport correctly mentions my birth date and my birth place as Ambala. I never needed Birth certificate so far in anything, i had passport and other documents like 10, 12, BBS, MBA. I also lived abroad for some time and never felt the need of it. But, I am in need of my birth certificate now. I live in Gurgaon now and looking for some help to get this sorted for me with minimum hassle and time. Please contact me if someone will be able to help.
