Ancestral property rights

hi,

I want to know what rights I have on my paternal grandfather's property.  I am the granddaughter and above 18 years.  My father and mother are alive.  Please let me know.  Looking forward to an early response.

Sarika you have no right in your grandfathers property , as he and your father is alive .

Dear Sarika,

you got the right to get the declaration from the court regarding the nature of property as ancestral property and also to get it declared to be the member of joint hindu family. By doing this you can repudiate the sale deed if later on sold by you predecessor if without legal necessity.

My father inhereted land from his father, that is, my grand-father.

He has one son and five daughters, myself being second daughter.

What are my rights in this ancestral property ?

hello all!  my grandmother has a property in rajasthan which she wants to sell , on enquiring further we were told that the property needs to be given to a third party and then it should be transfered to the original buyer. is this true ? please help
