Similarly,on the lines of 498A and DV Act,many members will also be benefited if any helpline and or guidance website or otherwise any help is available for the victims of ST&SC Act also.
The ST & SC Act is also now a days being invoked by vested interests to harass society members in a cosmopolitan city like Mumbai.
This is a new phenomenon in a corrupt scenario of the country.
Not sure of India, but I have called the US DV helpline several times after every incident of abuse by my wife. In India, you have friends, neighbors, priests etc who you can approach if the situation is truly one of domestic violence. You can also get the local neighborhood goondas to address the issue if there is one.
What help are you expecting from a "helpline". Make log of your calls so you can later screw your husband ? If that is the intent, then yes, go ahead. If you really need help, seek the family, social structure that protects a Indian family.
Indian society is very strong unlike the West. We dont need "helplines". Why dont you acquire a gun to protect yourself if you are really afraid. That will protect you more than a call to helpline.
