@ Shruti Mishra,

How did the managing committee allow you to occupy commercial space in a residential society ? Is it permissible under the provisions of Cooperative Societies Act / Rules and/or Bye-Laws ?

Answer is simple "NO".

It is advisable to seek service of a local prudent lawyer for appreciation of facts / documents, professional guidance and necessary proceedings

Contact a local advocate and disclose facts to him, as you are not coming out with facts as to what made the Residential society to extreme step, and as to whether you are owner or tenant with residence and then made it a commercial space or as to whether water is a basic amenity to commercial space and the agreement terms and conditions, etc.,

Hello,

Blocking water supply is an offence you can approach local police station against the society managing committee.

Yes, it is a criminal offence to block water supply.
