You can take up the matter with the superior authorities or register a complaint online by visitung the bank's website.

Possible Solutions

1. *Online Payment*: Check if Canara Bank offers online payment options for gold loans. You can visit their website or mobile app to explore this possibility.

2. *Authorize Your Wife*: Provide a written authorization letter to your wife, allowing her to make payments on your behalf. This letter should be notarized and submitted to the bank.

3. *Power of Attorney (PoA)*: Create a PoA in favor of your wife or a trusted representative, granting them the authority to manage your loan account and make payments.

4. *Contact Canara Bank's Customer Care*: Reach out to Canara Bank's customer care department and explain your situation. They may be able to provide alternative solutions or escalate your concern to a higher authority.

 5. *Visit Indian Embassy or Consulate*: If you're unable to find a solution, consider visiting the Indian Embassy or Consulate in your current location.

They may be able to assist you in resolving the issue or provide guidance on the next steps.

Escalation Procedures 1. *Bank's Nodal Officer*: Ask the bank manager for the contact details of the nodal officer responsible for handling customer grievances.

 2. *Banking Ombudsman*: If the issue persists, you can file a complaint with the Banking Ombudsman, who can help resolve the dispute.

Documenting Communication 1. *Keep Records*: Maintain a record of all communication with the bank, including emails, letters, and phone calls.

2. *Take Notes*: Document the names and designations of the bank officials you interact with, along with the details of your conversations. By exploring these options and escalating the issue through the proper channels, you should be able to find a solution that allows you to repay the loan without having to physically visit the bank.

If you want to close the jwel loan and if the bank manager is insisting on  your presence then you can give a power of attorney deed to your wife to handle your bank laon repayment and other related transactions.

The POA deed should be duly notarized by a Notary Public of that country and instruct your wife to present the same to the bank by a deposit chhalln signed by her on your behalf. If the bank manager is still insisting his own rulings in this regard, you may make a personal complaint against the non cooperative manager to the regional manager of the bank with a copy addressed to the MD cum Chairman of the bank about this unlawful demand made by the bank.

Actually in the digitalised world the banks accept online payments towards loan repayments hence the attitude of manager is unjustified and illegal.
