Cancellation of marriage

Hi,

I am in a situation here. We fixed the marriage of my younger brother this month. By this I mean that girl's side did the Roka (gave some money and few gifts) at our home in front of their few Relatives which came with them. But till now we have not done any ceremoney(no engagement, no Roka from our side). Now due to some reasons we are in a mood to cancell the marriage.

Here I want to know that if we cancell the marriage now can the girl side file any dowry case on us like DPA etc?

Please advice

Try to make them understand n returned all things whatever u got from them in presence of some respectful person of the locality.

Do not take it lightly.

Talk to the middle man regarding this and return all the gifts through the middle man. There are cases in which corrupted police registers dowry demand cases even before marriage.

Matters should be settled without going court otherwise both party will be trapped in complicated legal matter and waste money and time.

If there is no marriage solemnized , no need to go legal way and waste money and time.
