Chargesheet issued or not-enquiry through court

Dear Sir, One of my known person is waiting for charge sheet to get issued, as the case was lodged in 2014 August, and police is expected to issue charge sheet in 2016 September, as 2 yrs have passed. Kindly let me know, how to make an enquiry whether the police has issued charge sheet? Does he need to contact the court or through an advocate whether any charge sheet has been issued. Thanks

Thanks mam, for the reply. The person is not in a hurry. 2 yrs have passed. He asked me the procedure to know whether it has been issued. How to approach the court or any to know it.

Thanks a lot. He will be able to know it from the court through an advocate. is there any legal formalities for this enquiry by an advocate ? expected fees of advocate for this, or this could be done without an advocate? if yes, kindly let me the procedure, without RTI, as RTI will take time.
