Civil suit filing in other state

Hello, My friend had taken some 2 lacs from me 10 months back in pune. That time I was staying in pune. I shifted to hyderabad 4 months back and staying here only. Now My friend is not returning my money when I asked her to do so. I have decided to file civil case against her. My query is- Is it possible to file civil case against him in hyderabad? Pls suggest how can I do so?

civil suit can be filed where either the defendant resides or cause of action arose.

You cannot file civil suit in Hyderabad. You have to file suit in Pune.

file recovery suit at Pune court against ur friend as Pune court has jurisdiction to try and decide said suit.

Yes you can file suit at hydrabad for which you shall be required to engage a lawyer and to go with his advise. It would be prudent to engage a local lawyer which shall be cost effective also.

Srivastava Sir, could you pls let me how to file suit in hyderabad? I spoke to few local lawyers in hyderabad. They all saying , suit can be filed either in pune or rajasthan.
