Clarification

Is it mandatory to register a general power of attorney to be executed between a person and myself in Bangalore to a person in chennai to look after our flat there for taking care by him is to be registered in Bangalore sub registrars office or only a notary endorsement is more than sufficient? Please clarify the procedure
