Credit card payment not done due to mother's medical expense

Respected Sir/Madam,

My husband had used credit cards from SBI and HDFC bank from last 2 years.Earlier he had made all the payments on time.Before 4 months his mother got hospitalized and for payment he has used credit cards and he has not made the payment for the same, as still his mother's treatment is going on.

Collection agencies contacted him and he said them that he will make the payment, but needed time to make the payment.The collection agencies are repeatedly calling him and asking for money. Even after responding to them properly they are repeatedly visiting his office during office hours and troubling for payment. Some of the collection agent called him and used abusive languages.

Even they threatened him that they will visit home and shout at family. Even they said that they will take legal action against him. Please help us what will be the beat way to handle this collection agents as it will take time to make the payment.

It's down right harassment - which is punishable offense in Criminal Law. If you don't pay on time the Bank only has the option to proceed against ur husband legally. That is going to the court and can't employ these illegal measures to collect money.

immediatly call 100 no for Police help, note down there call details and also file a written FIR to Police. Police has to help you.

Agreed with Mr. Tripathi.

Record all calls and meetings ask the agents to send whatsoever documents pertaining to the dues by redg. post only………………................Prohibit them to come to any address and record.

Visit the local SSP/Police Commissioner office and one person i/c can provide ownership detail of all numbers.

Or apply your resources and find out from Telecom compnay that has issued this series/number………….
