Writ petetion related

Sir,

My name is Prasanta Pal, and I reside in the Coochbehar District. I am currently employed as a contractual Group C staff , due to  my low income  I am unable to afford the fees of a lawyer. I wish to file a writ petition with the Circuit Bench of the Kolkata High Court and have prepared a draft of my petition with assistance from sample documents available on the Sarthac website. I kindly request your guidance on the following matters:

1. Should the draft copy be printed on legal-sized dummy paper or legal-sized white paper?

2. Should all copies for the respondents be printed on legal-sized dummy paper or legal-sized white paper?

3. Do all copies (court copy and respondent copies) need to be verified or scrutinized by the court before filing, or is it sufficient to have one copy verified and make Xerox copies of it for the others?

4. Could you please review my draft writ petition to identify any errors?

You may not be able to engage an advocate but in that case you have to equip yourself with sufficient knowledge for filing the case as party in person, if you don't know the filing procedures, which is a basic requirement, then you can take a paid assistance from a local lawyer or a lawyer from outside directly on the terms of the chosen lawyer.

We don't provide free service in this forum on such issues.

Drafting petition is an art, filing the petition is procedural which differs from a High Court to another, besides other legal / procedural requirement(s) shall have to be completed in proceeding the writ, which require professional service.

Approach Secretary High Court Legal Services Authority Coochbihar to provide a local lawyer "free of cost", if you are unable to engage a lawyer.
