I have an ancesterial house that has names of lenders from whom my grandfather had taken loan in 1945-1946. There after there are no entries of repayment / removal of lenders name. My Cousin says that the amount was repaid to the lender in 1970. However, we do not have any proof of the same. We do not even know the lender except his name that appears in the 1945 entry in the property card of the house.
Now I want to know how should I remove the lenders name from the property card. Has the mortgage entry got time-barred and there should not be any issue in removing the names from the property card. Any help in this regards will be quite helpful...
