departmental proceedings after resignation

i have resigned from pu jab judicial department in december 2012. in year 2018 i was asked to apear before court in fact finding regarding loss of civil suit permanent injunction file, can i b punished after six year after my resignation and what kind of punishment in punjab civil service rules

Ji, why did you resign?  what are you doing now?  eventhough you resigned, punishment will be issued if the charge/case is proved.

is it a summon in the capacity of court or as previous employer.
