Diffrence between retainer and consultant

Dear Friends,

Please help me in finding the basic diffrence between Retainer and Consultant in an industry. Are they same or there is some diffrence among them. Please quote the relevant case law regarding this issue.

Thanks and Regards

hi

the literal meaning of retainer is that a person being retained for some purpose by a company or industry. where as the consultant or adviser are approached when and they are needed. retainer might be retained by company mostly as a full time employer where as consultant were approached when needed. this much of meaning i can give you right now. later i will send necessar rulings if possible. thank u.
