Divorce

hello, thank you for replying my posts. I would like to know that to take divorce is it necessary to stay separate? even when they stay together a husband can file a divorce? or husband and wife should stay separately minimum for 6 months and then file a divorce?

No such requirement is there in law.  But in mutual consent divorce, one year separation is essential.  If divorce is on the ground of desertion, two years separation is essential.  If the divorce is on the ground of cruelty or adultery, mental malise etc. then, separation is not essential.

yes,

they can stay together a husband can file a divorce (T & C apply)

and

they can stay together after divorce also.
