Divorce certificate information

Hi Sirs,

I am staying in USA, recently my wife applied for divorce in India, due to my non availability of travel to India it went into Ex-Partee.  Finally judge given his verdict to her favor granting divorce.

Here my main concern is whether I will get any divorce certificate from her or I need to get Divorce certificate through the  Lawyer in India? Can anybody suggest please...Thanks in Advance.

Note: She sent divorce notice through Email by taking request by Hon Judge.

Thanks,

Raj N

Divorce certificate is not required. You just obtain the certified copy of the Judgment and Decree of divorce. It is sufficient.

What is your idea about the exparte decreeof divorce?, do you want to set it aside and contest her case? or if you just want to go ahead with the decree against you?, in any case you may obtain a certified copy of the judgment through a lawyer from the concerned court if your wife is not obliging you to furnish a copy to you.
