Dear brothers,
Can any one of your guide me on a specific problem with relation to Tamil nadu
Elections for Legislative Assembly conducted during April 13,2011
I was posted as a Zonal Officer out of 19 for Tirunelveli Assembly Constituency
and I finished the wok successfully. We were paid Rs.1500 towards honorarium
initially. But due to representations from Govt Staff the Election commission raised
the payment under a G.O Ms No 617 dated 18-07-11in which the Govt Staff engaged
in Election Work right from Zonal Officer to Dist Election Officer were paid with ONE
MONTH SALARY (PAY+GRADE PAY ) WITH A MAXIMUM AMOUNT NOT EXCEEDING RS
20000/ FOR THEIR STRENUOUS WORK. But in Tirunelveli, the Zonal officers were
paid a meagre Rs10000/ on Nov 11 irrespective of their salary eventhough we
submitted our Salary Certificate for May11 as asked by Tahsildhar, Tirunelveli. Since
my Salary for May 11 was Rs.30240/ I was eligible for the maximum amount .My
counterparts in Usilampatti constituency confirmed that he received Rs.20000 for his
zonal duty. Just note the discrepancy of payment for same election work. My oral
request to Revenue officials were not taken care of. Hence I made a written appeal
to Dist Collector ,Tirunelveli on 23rd Nov11 and subsequently to Chief Electoral
Officer, Tamil nadu on 5th Dec11. But I did not receive any reply from them. I am
attaching my letter to CEO in this regard.
Sir, what I can do now?. What I should do to get the due election honorarium of Rs 20000/ for which I am eligible as per G.O. Kindly guide me!
Thanking you
