Yes, Mr. Nidhi the dock workers are entitled to the benifits of ESI, EPF etc. If the said persons are employed through a contractor even then as per the provisions of contract labour(regualtion and abolition) act, the employees are eligible for ESI,EPF etc.provided if they are not casual employees.

A bank employee was terminated from service in the year 2006; however, he has preferred an appeal in the juristictional High Court and is still pending. Is he eligible for a second option under the revised settlement on this matter by banks?

Sir,
Since the matter has been referred to the High Court, any action initiated on the same issue will be Sub judice.
Hence think of for any remedial measures only once you get the consent of the High Court.
