External wall leakage

Hi Experts,

I am facing problem with Rain Water Leakage from external wall in our co-operative housing society.

I have already complained reagrding this to society, but I don't know when they will initiate the action.

Since I don't my walls to be damaged, can I get waterproofing done myself and let society reimurse the cost ?

How many days I need to wait after complaining?

take photographs of the leakage which are clear. take a civil engineer's/architect's written opinion that this continued leakage which is due to rainfall will damage your walls. engage a lawyer and send a notice to society to get it repaired. if it does not get it repaired, let your lawyer decide the best strategy. you can either approach the cooperative court or the consumer Forum (make sure you have paid maintenance). on other lines is it possible to repair while it is still raining or do we need to wait for rains to subside? seek engineer's opinion.

You can collect damages from cooperative society or get repairs done from the society. Send a legal notice to the society at the earliest.
