Dear querist, As per as my opinion you have the right of inheritence in the property situated in India

(Guest)

Not all that simple in the Indian Context in view of diplomatic differences. Since in India Indira Gandhi removed the Right to property [as against laws of sacred Hindu Texts] as a fundamental right. She was a Sunni Muslim but if I post that stuff here I'll be banned here like others. So, the government can acquire that property.

You have the right of inheritance and can exercise without any hassle.

Thanks for your feedback.

The other problem that I face is

  • I have no idea how many and what properties did my granddad leave.
  • If my uncle has sold any of them.

Is there a way to find out about the two,

Thanks in advance,

Maddy.
