Unless there are compelling circumstances like accepted s*xual favour or made commitment of getting married etc. no girl can force you to marry you.

Sainath,
My friend's parents did his engagement with this girl in his absence. He was not willing to marry her. The other party is highly influencial and not willing to back off and the girl too was too stubborn that she is willing to marry him despite his unwillingness. So just wondered if there is any such law for women in india that a woman can coerce a guy to marry her

Engagement made without his involvement and he is not willing to marry the girl and the girl is stubborn. No woman can marry anybody with coercion or force unless there is any incident involved between them. But here though the engagement is an incident, there is no such law for the girl to marry the boy with force.

Instead of taking help from law, traditional values and get to gether with understanding from both the parties are very much important at that crucial juncture. So no law in this matter.
