Gift deed challenge

Dear Sir,

My father has gifted me his self acquired property. My sister says that I  have got it done by persuading my father. She is planning to file a case after death of my father that gift deed is invalid. Since now father is alive what precaution can be taken ?

thanks

Dear, Gift deed means immediate transfer of property, get the property registered in ur name while ur father is alive. Kapil chandna adv, 9899011450

If he has transferred through registered gift deed, then transfer takes place immediately, it cannot be cancelled unilaterally by your father. If it is unregistered then get it registered at the earliest.

The gift deed executed in your favor has to be registered before the SRO of your jurisdiction, do it soon if you have not done so far.  After registration of the said deed, get the revenue records of the property transferred on your name by mutating the same, this will establish the transfer of property as per law.  After that she cannot claim any share or her civil suit will not be maintainable.
