How to Check lawyers track record?

Recently the Govt. of Maharashtra has decided to track the performance of PPs and Govt. Pleaders, for fixing their accountability in handling the Govt.Cases which is possible through the Department of Law. However, in case of private practitioners, the only way out is to seek the information from the lawyer himself, before appointing him, and cross check the same,  the way the Banks do while preparing their legal penal. If, any one knows another way out, the information will be most welcome.

obtaining track record is about to impossible. but you can make your own database, by rto, asking hc by slightly diffrent manner. pl try and let us know the result
