How to select stamp duty charges

Please let me know cretria for selecting amount for stamp duty( bond) for a rent aggrement.

Document writer some times uses Rs 10/- stamp papers and some times Rs-20/-.

Stamp duty is a levy like any other tax collected by government calculated on the basis of the market value or agreement value whichever is higher.

Stamp duty for rent agreements is arrived after calculating Average Annual Rent.

Details such as Rent, Deposit, Tenure etc is necessary to arrive at proper stamp duty appicable to your case..
