I know the rights

Have my grandfather property he late now so this property transfer to my father he living there last more than 35 years but my uncle & aunt want nw sale this property , but my dad doesnt want to sale this property . have any solution on that. or what is our rights as per indian law

respected querist,

first of all i want to know about the nature of the ancestral prperty,s nature , in general your father have equal rights as your uncles have in that property, uncle can get saled that property after get partioned by metes and bounds,in second condition he can direct sale out his share in the property .but where there is a case of dewelling house one can get right to live in it by way of partition but can not sale it till all the share holder and resident of that property give their consent.feel free to call.
