The obligation of the defendant is just making statements in court known to him, and the burden of proving any crime is on the law enforcement authority. In the case stated an accused escaped from the lawful custody of police which is another offense and it is left to the police to file such complaint and bring this fact to the attention of Court. It is the discretion of the court and depends on evidence to decide taking entire issue as a whole.

Who has committed atrocity? In what way? When the police have arrested based on a complaint and after investigation and took custody for 42 days after getting absolved from all such charges the boy can proceed against such false complainants with the help of their associations. Because boy is from protected caste against atrocities, it is not licensed for protecting him from all his criminal acts.
