I am a citizen of USA and I own a few properties in India. In anything were to happen to me, how these properties will be handled by the Indian law and how can my wife or children get them?

I am a citizen of USA and I own a few properties in India. In anything were to happen to me, how these properties will be handled by the Indian law and how can my wife or children get them?

Your children would have to obtain a Letter of Administration, and then get the properties mutated in their favour by approaching land authorities in India.
