Ipc section 497 status for adultery done before 27 sept 2018 supreme court judgement

Can a man file an adultery case under section 497 if the adultery is done before the 27 september 2018 supreme court declaration of section 497 of IPC as ultra vires. If yes , provided the relevent sections and ACTS and other supportive material related to the issue.

Dear querist,

 

 

In our country lot happens even after judgments of Apex Court but Case will give any result as far as punishment for adultery is concerned adultery is still ground for divorce.

Before or after 27, September, 2018, any criminal complaint under section 497 IPC has come to an end and all pending matters will be dismissed by the court where these are pending.
