We often hear of Indian judges saying that well qualified/working women must have self respect by earning & not demanding maintenance.
Sounds fair enough! Now think of men who have working wives.But they married only for dowry,or engaged in adultery,or hid their gay status,or tortured them a lot or abandoned them since an accident post marriage disabled them.
Why should such men be let loose?
In the developed western countries working women are awarded maintenance too.
DOES IT MEAN THESE W.WOMEN HAVE NO SELF RESPECT?
ONLY INDIA,AN OTHERWISE 3rd WORLD COUNTRY,TALKS OF SELF RESPECT?
Such Indian men will repeat the same behaviors in future too if they are not controlled by law.They will start to use marriage as a use & throw relationship.
