Landowner and tenant

my grandfather was a tenant of shop at kolkata.after my grandpa deceased my father run the shop.now after my father's death my mother is the legal heiress of my father's property.but landlord of the shop is forcing us to leave the shop.let me know whether there is any rule that after five years the landlord can legaly take possession of our shop.please reply ........
